ACB Diabetics Membership
Welcome to ACB Diabetics. Here you will learn how to become a member, renew your membership and re-join as a previous member with a gap in between.
We currently use the PayPal system for online credit transactions, so, by activating the PayPal link, you may pay via PayPal, itself, or choose to use your own credit card.
The dues are currently $10.00 per year, and, once paid, covers the period through the end of the year of payment. For those payments received after the credentials report is submitted (in connection with the American Council of the Blind’s convention, usually in July), they apply for the following year, as well.
If preferred, you can pay by check made payable to ACBDA, and sending it to the current treasurer.
There is also an e-mail list” to which you can subscribe by sending a blank e-mail to ACB-diabetics+subscribe@acblists.org. This list contains valuable information about events held by ACBDA that may be of interest, along with recipes for foods best to be consumed by diabetics which may be surprisingly tasteful.
Those previously-mentioned events, the second Wednesday of the month calls, the third Saturday of the month casual chats, the monthly board meetings and the fourth Monday calls may be very informative, but also allow for members and potential members to get to know each other, and provide valuable support for those newly diagnosed with diabetes.
